The Miss intercontinental beauty pageant was founded in Aruba island in 1971. It is one of the three major competitions of the world beauty organization. The event spans the continent and has been successfully held in more than 120 countries and regions.
The purpose of "Miss intercontinental" beauty pageant is "to publicize local tourism and cultural activities, to develop Inter Continental cultural exchanges, to enhance the friendship between continents, and to explore the beauty and wisdom of the world's outstanding women". The annual Miss intercontinental global finals, as the annual fashion event of that year, is well-known all over the world.
